Jujutsu Kaisen fans will not have to wait much longer for Yuji Itadori’s next chapter. During the anime’s fifth anniversary livestream in Japan, Crunchyroll revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will premiere in January 2026, streaming weekly and simulcast with Japan across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS territories.
The new season, officially titled Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game, adapts the intense arc from Gege Akutami’s best-selling manga. The first teaser trailer gave fans an emotional glimpse of what is ahead, spotlighting Yuji’s grief after the devastating Shibuya Incident and his fierce battle with Yuta Okkotsu, the protagonist from Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The preview also teased confrontations between Naoya Zen’in and Choso, as well as appearances from Megumi Fushiguro, Maki Zen’in, and Yuki Tsukumo.
MAPPA returns as the animation studio with Shota Goshozono directing, following his work on Season 2. The creative team includes Hiroshi Seko on scripts, Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa on character designs, and Yoshimasa Terui composing the score. Returning cast members feature Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro, Daisuke Namikawa as Choso, and Megumi Ogata reprising her role as Yuta Okkotsu.
Ahead of the new season, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution will hit Japanese theaters on November 7, 2025, covering the climax of the Shibuya Incident and the opening episodes of the Culling Game arc. North American audiences will see the film through GKIDS starting December 5, 2025.
With the explosive Culling Game arc on the horizon, anticipation for Season 3 is higher than ever. As Junya Enoki hinted at Anime Expo 2025, “The battle scenes are on a whole different level,” setting the stage for one of the franchise’s most thrilling installments yet.
