Eminem and Jack White Unite at Lions Halftime as Detroit Makes Music History

Detroit icons Eminem and Jack White delivered a surprise halftime collaboration at the Lions Thanksgiving game as Eminem performed in front of his grandson for the first time in a powerful hometown moment.

Detroit witnessed a rare and emotional music moment on Thanksgiving as Eminem joined Jack White for a surprise halftime performance during the Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers game at Ford Field.

The unannounced appearance brought two of the city’s biggest musical icons together on one stage for the first time. The crowd erupted as Jack White welcomed Eminem to perform a high energy medley of Seven Nation Army and Till I Collapse, creating one of the most memorable halftime shows in recent NFL history.

Eminem performed wearing a Detroit Lions jacket and greeted fans with a brief Thanksgiving message as the stadium responded with thunderous cheers. The performance was part of a nationally televised show produced under the new Lions partnership with Eminem and his management team.

The moment carried personal significance as Eminem’s grandson, eight month old Elliot Marshall McClintock, watched the performance live from the stands wearing protective headphones. A video shared by Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade later showed the baby reacting to the music as she lovingly pointed toward the stage and mouthed the word Grandpa.

Hailie Jade welcomed her son with husband Evan McClintock earlier this year and has occasionally shared glimpses of motherhood with fans. The Thanksgiving appearance marked the first time Elliot witnessed his grandfather perform live.

For Jack White, the show added another milestone to his long list of hometown performances just weeks after the White Stripes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The collaboration also reaffirmed Detroit’s powerful legacy in both hip hop and rock music.

Eminem has not held a full hometown concert in over a decade but continues to remain closely tied to major Detroit events. His appearance with Jack White now stands as one of the most celebrated Detroit music moments of the decade.
