Chris Hemsworth Unleashes Intense New Trailer for Crime 101
Chris Hemsworth has released a gripping new trailer for his upcoming crime thriller Crime 101, giving audiences their sharpest look yet at Amazon MGM Studios’ high stakes heist drama.
Hemsworth stars as an elusive jewel thief whose carefully planned robberies along California’s iconic 101 freeway have left law enforcement struggling to uncover a pattern. His character is preparing what he hopes will be his final and most dangerous job.
The film also stars Mark Ruffalo as a relentless detective determined to bring Hemsworth’s character down, and Halle Berry as a disillusioned insurance broker whose life becomes entangled with the criminal operation. Barry Keoghan joins the cast alongside Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte.
Directed and written by Bart Layton, the filmmaker behind American Animals and The Imposter, Crime 101 is adapted from Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella. The trailer openly references classic crime films such as The Thomas Crown Affair and Bullitt, signaling a blend of stylish heists, tense cat and mouse chases, and emotional character conflict.
According to the film’s synopsis, the story builds toward a multimillion dollar heist where alliances shift, motives blur, and every character is forced to confront the consequences of their choices. As the final operation approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to dissolve.
The newly released footage shows Hemsworth in one of his most morally complex roles to date, stepping away from traditional heroism and into a colder, calculated performance that emphasizes his growing range as an actor.
Crime 101 will be released exclusively in theaters and IMAX on February 13, 2026, positioning it as one of the year’s first major crime thrillers.
