The wait is over. The Summer I Turned Pretty returns to Prime Video on July 16 for its third and final season, and fans are bracing for an emotional farewell to Cousins Beach.
The hit series, based on Jenny Han’s bestselling YA trilogy, has been building toward a final decision for Isabel "Belly" Conklin. Played by Lola Tung, Belly has spent the first two seasons caught between brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). According to the official synopsis, the story picks up four years after Season 2. Belly is nearing the end of her junior year of college and is still with Jeremiah, the brother she chose over her first love Conrad. Author and showrunner Jenny Han has teased surprises in the final chapter. While Season 3 draws from her third novel We’ll Always Have Summer, Han told Entertainment Weekly that fans should not expect a one-to-one adaptation. Prime Video will release the first two episodes of the 11-episode season on July 16. New episodes will drop weekly every Wednesday at 3 a.m. ET. The series finale is scheduled for September.
