Ana de Armas is in the final stages of negotiations to join the cast of Grant Singer’s upcoming feature Reenactment. The psychological thriller has already attracted strong industry attention, bringing together an ensemble that includes Benicio Del Toro and Cameron Diaz.

The project is being presented at the American Film Market by Patrick Wachsberger of 193, with production expected to begin soon in Los Angeles. Plot details are being kept confidential, which has further fueled anticipation in industry circles.

Reenactment reunites Del Toro with director Grant Singer and Black Label Media after their successful collaboration on the 2023 thriller Reptile. That film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and quickly became a streaming hit for Netflix, earning praise for its sharp direction and intense atmosphere.

Black Label Media partners Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill, and Thad Luckinbill will produce the new project alongside Wachsberger. Executive producers include Rachel Smith, Bradley Thomas, Ashley Stern, Rick Yorn, and Scott Greenberg.

Ana de Armas continues to strengthen her position as one of Hollywood’s most sought after performers. The Academy Award nominee recently led the John Wick spinoff Ballerina and appeared in Eden, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024. Her potential involvement in Reenactment is seen as a significant addition to the film’s commercial appeal, particularly as international buyers often rely on star driven financing models.

Cameron Diaz’s participation adds another layer of interest as she continues her return to acting. She recently appeared in the 2025 Netflix action comedy Back in Action, which became one of the platform’s top performing films of the year. Benicio Del Toro joins the ensemble after receiving critical acclaim for his role in One Battle After Another.

Reenactment marks Grant Singer’s second feature length project following a successful career directing music videos for artists such as The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Travis Scott, and Camila Cabello. His transition into film has been closely watched, with industry analysts expecting his distinct visual style to shape the tone of the new thriller.

With the cast coming together and production approaching, Reenactment is emerging as one of the most talked about titles at this year’s market. Further details, including the plot and release timeline, are expected to be revealed once filming begins.
