CBS has officially launched celebrations for Survivor 50 with the release of the first teaser trailer and the announcement of a nationwide fan challenge designed to bring viewers into the game.
The trailer debuted following the Survivor 49 finale and offers an early look at the landmark season, which features a 24 player cast made up of returning winners, fan favorites, and long time franchise figures. Survivor 50 will continue filming in Fiji and is scheduled to premiere on CBS on February 25.
To coincide with the milestone season, CBS has introduced the Survivor 50 Challenge, a first of its kind interactive experience that invites fans across the United States to search for authentic immunity idols hidden in their home states. Participants will follow clues, solve riddles, and work in teams, mirroring the strategic elements of the television competition.
Host and executive producer Jeff Probst said the initiative allows fans to experience the spirit of Survivor beyond the screen by testing problem solving skills and teamwork in a family friendly setting.
Fans can register and participate through the official Survivor 50 Challenge website. CBS says the initiative is meant to celebrate the show’s long running legacy while engaging both new viewers and longtime fans ahead of the season premiere.
