Early Access Starts Before Release Day
Players won't have to wait until mid-July to experience the new set.
Select Play! Pokémon stores will begin hosting prerelease events on July 4, giving trainers an opportunity to test the expansion early through special Build & Battle Boxes.
Each Build & Battle Box includes four booster packs, a ready-to-play 40-card deck and one of four promotional cards featuring Miraidon, Slowbro, Dhelmise or Bastiodon. These events are designed to introduce players to new mechanics while allowing collectors to obtain cards before the full launch.
Pokémon Center Preorders Draw Huge Interest
Preorders for Pitch Black products have already opened through Pokémon Center, with fans rushing to secure Elite Trainer Boxes, Booster Bundles and Booster Boxes ahead of release.
Collectors are particularly interested in Pokémon Center-exclusive Elite Trainer Boxes, which include additional booster packs and exclusive promotional items not found in standard retail editions.
The strong demand follows several recent Pokémon TCG releases that sold out quickly online and became highly sought after on the secondary market.
