FIFA has unveiled a star-studded lineup for the 2026 World Cup opening ceremonies, with Shakira, Burna Boy, Katy Perry, Lisa and Michael Bublé among the performers set to kick off football's biggest tournament.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to begin with three major opening ceremonies across North America, bringing together some of the world's biggest music stars before the tournament gets underway.

With the United States, Mexico and Canada jointly hosting the expanded World Cup, FIFA has planned separate opening celebrations in Mexico City, Toronto and Los Angeles, each featuring a unique lineup of performers and cultural showcases.

Shakira Returns to the World Cup Stage

The most anticipated appearance comes from Shakira, who will headline the Mexico City ceremony alongside Nigerian superstar Burna Boy.

The pair are expected to perform "Dai Dai," the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Shakira's return continues her long association with football's biggest tournament after delivering some of the most memorable World Cup performances in history.

Joining them in Mexico will be Alejandro Fernández, J Balvin, Belinda, Danny Ocean, Tyla, Maná, Los Ángeles Azules, Lila Downs and Ryan Castro. The ceremony will take place before Mexico's opening match against South Africa.

Canada Celebrates with Homegrown Stars

Toronto's ceremony will showcase Canadian talent led by Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette and Alessia Cara.

Other performers include Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, Elyanna, Vegedream, William Prince and Sanjoy as Canada prepares to host one of the biggest sporting events in its history.

Katy Perry, Lisa and Future Headline U.S. Event

The Los Angeles celebration will feature another major lineup led by Katy Perry.

The American pop star will be joined by BLACKPINK member Lisa, rapper Future, Brazilian singer Anitta and Afrobeats star Rema ahead of the United States' opening match against Paraguay. Actor Jason Sudeikis is also scheduled to appear as a World Cup ambassador.

How to Watch the World Cup Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremonies are scheduled for June 11 and June 12, 2026, before the first matches hosted by Mexico, Canada and the United States.

Viewers will be able to watch the ceremonies through major broadcast partners, including FOX and FS1 in English-language markets, while Spanish-language coverage will be available through Telemundo and Universo. Streaming options are also expected to be available.
