Professional wrestler Brinley Reece has announced she is leaving WWE, ending a three-year run with the company after an extended injury absence.

Reece, whose real name is Breanna Ruggiero, shared the news in a statement posted to social media, saying the decision was made to prioritize her health and future. The 25 year old has not competed since March 2025 and underwent shoulder surgery two months later.

“After three years, I am officially closing my chapter wrestling at WWE,” Reece wrote. “This decision came after navigating personal health challenges and a serious injury that required surgery last year. It was not an easy choice, but it was a necessary one.”

Reece was signed by WWE following SummerSlam tryouts in Nashville in July 2022. With a background as a cheer captain at Sacramento State and experience in tumbling, she made her in-ring debut in September 2023 and became a regular presence on NXT Level Up.

During her time with the company, Reece also appeared as part of the NXT crossover with TNA Wrestling in late 2024, competing on TNA Impact and at the Bound For Glory pre-show. Her final match took place on March 2, 2025, at a WWE Evolve taping.

In her statement, Reece described her departure not as an ending, but as a redirection. She thanked WWE for the opportunities and credited the experience with helping shape her resilience and discipline.

While Reece has not announced her next steps, she indicated she remains optimistic about the future as she focuses on recovery and long-term well-being.
