The holiday season officially kicks off at Starbucks as the coffee giant brings back one of its most anticipated traditions: Red Cup Day. On November 13, customers across participating U.S. stores can enjoy a free 2025 reusable red cup with the purchase of any handcrafted holiday or fall beverage, available through in-store, drive-thru, app orders, or delivery platforms like DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats.

The limited-edition 2025 red cup, crafted from 95 percent recycled material, showcases a hand-drawn design by Starbucks artist Yvonne Chan. She described the artwork as capturing “the little moment of magic you feel when stepping into a Starbucks from the cold outside.” The design features a cozy winter scene, evoking warmth and connection during the festive season.

Eligible beverages include seasonal favorites such as the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Sugar Cookie Latte, Gingerbread Chai, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, among others. Starbucks brewed coffee, including its Christmas Blend and Reserve selections, are excluded from the promotion.

Customers who bring their reusable red cups on future visits will receive a 10-cent discount on beverages, and Starbucks Rewards members will earn double stars for their orders. This initiative aligns with Starbucks’ ongoing efforts to encourage sustainability while rewarding loyal customers.

Adding to the holiday excitement, Starbucks has unveiled a fresh lineup of limited-edition merchandise featuring vibrant designs and new collaborations. Following the viral success of the sold-out Bearista Cup, Starbucks is introducing a collection in partnership with fashion brand Roller Rabbit. The new merchandise line includes the Golden Poinsettia Mug, Red Ribbon Tumbler, Gingerbread Cookie Tumbler, and the Siren’s Tail Mug, all designed to reflect the spirit of the holidays.

In a statement, Starbucks expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic response to its festive collections, noting that more items will arrive throughout the season. Alongside the merchandise, returning holiday beverages such as the Eggnog Latte and Chestnut Praline Latte will make their seasonal debut on December 2.

For Starbucks fans, Red Cup Day is more than just a giveaway — it marks the beginning of a season filled with warmth, nostalgia, and togetherness. With festive drinks, joyful designs, and eco-friendly options, Starbucks once again brings people closer, one cup at a time.
